Adoptable Dogs
All Bully Buddies dogs live in foster homes while awaiting homes of their own. Our aim is to place Pit Bull ambassadogs, with excellent temperaments, in loving and responsible homes.

Precious
was found as a stray and taken in by a kind woman. She is about 2 years
old, and is a big goofy gal! She has a lovely temperament and is a
great match for an active person who appreciates a dog with a good
sense of humour. In typical Pit Bull fashion she doesn't understand
that whole personal space thing, and needs to be reminded to keep her
feet planted on the ground (Precious thinks that she should be the
centre of everyone's attention!). Since she is a big, slightly
boisterous girl, she would be best matched to a home with no young
children. She would be great with teenagers though. We could totally
see her living with an outdoorsy single person or couple, who wants a
dog that is active outside but calm in the house. Someone who has some
basic dog experience that can a good leader for this happy gal.
Precious
is house-trained, and knows how to sit like a good girl. She is spayed,
vaccinated and microchipped. If you are interested in her please fill
out an application and we will forward it to her care-taker.

Bailey is being sponsored by Jane, Grinder, and Sadie and their whole lovable crew! Thank-you for your donation for her care and for loving the bully breed so much :) Also sponsored in honour of Wendy and Chung's wedding.
Bailey has been in foster care longer than any other dog. Why, because her temperament is fantastic, but she needs the right home. Bailey is older, has severe allergies, and is great with dogs she knows, but is not a fan of meeting dogs out and about. Basically she needs a home that loves her for everything she is, an ever-funny couch potato, with a penchant for tennis balls, who is way too itchy for her own good. To help her with the itchies she needs hypo-allergenic food, and medication on occasion. She is also a pro at wearing a cone when left alone, as otherwise she will take advantage of the free rein and itch herself sore.

The truth is that Bailey is an absolutely stellar catch, someone just has to see her beauty.
Not only is Bailey beyond cute, she is also oh so affectionate, and well-behaved. Sporting some fantastic manners, she is a dream in the house and so easy to live with. Low-key, cuddley, housebroken, crate trained, and fine being left home alone loose in the house. Bailey loves to cuddle, and do kangaroo jumps for food, or when it is time to go for a walk. Bailey LOVES tennis balls, and is an excellent swimmer. She recently went camping and was such a little trucker. She thought it was her job to remove all of the sticks from the lake, even those oh so big logs. She is a low-key in the house, active out and about kind of creature.
Bailey has many allergies, so she needs to stay on food that agrees with her allergies, and some bendryl to keep the itchies down. Bailey doesn't let her allergies get in the way of her having fun; she always has a grin on her face.
Bailey is stellar with cats and kids, but unsure about meeting new dogs. She is excellent with other dogs once she knows them, so slow and steady definately wins the race with her meeting other dogs. She would do just fine living with a laid-back dog or two. Bailey would do fine living in an apartment or a house. and are looking for a companion that will settle in like she has always been there, Bailey might be the one for you!

It looks like Rock is moving to the Prairies!
Rock is a HUGE marshmallow of a dog with the personality of a big puppy. Uber sweet and dorky. He is literally the biggest Pit Bull we have ever seen and has to be mixed with some kind of Mastiff breed. He has just turned a year old and is a tall, lean 92lbs. He will likely mature to 100-120lbs. Picture Mastiff personality + size and you have our boy Rock. His personality is just as big. This dog has got a TON of character. Between his dorky attitude and his big stature, Rock gets a ton of attention wherever he goes and will need a home that will keep this boy a well socialized and well behaved breed ambassador!

This gentle giant, has a huge heart, and well not quite as big brains. He's a simple boy who is happy to play fetch, make friends and hang out. He has a moderate energy level, and is used to apartment living. He is great with other dogs, and a-ok with cats. Rock needs clear boundaries as he thinks that he is a 5 lb. lapdog who can get away with bratty puppy behaviors. He will be mouthy if he can get away with it, but quickly shapes up with a good leader. We'd love to see him in an moderately active, dog-experienced home.
Rock is house-trained and knows basic commands. He is very lovable, but is too big, clumsy and mouthy to be a good match for a home with young children.
Think that Rock is your man?

Epic has a home!
Epic is about 2
years old, and is such a well-behaved, easy-going sweetie. She looks
to be a Dogo Argentino, x Pointer. She is a decent sized girl, weighing in
at about 70 lbs. She is very attentive, and really wants to please.
They don't come much cuter than Epic! She's a wiggle-bum charmer, who
gets people ooh-ing and aah-ing. Epic has wonderful house manners, and
is well-behaved when left alone loose in the house. She is the
dreamy sort of dog who is low-key in the house, but active out and
about. Epic adores kids and previously lived with a few. She is
however not a fan of other animals, and would like to be the only pet
in her home. She would like a home with a securely fenced yard.

An update on Epic from her great foster mom Jenna:
"all
in all, epic's great. still a bit pully on walks, but after your
e-mail, things have improved, so thank you! she had an accident in the
house the other night, but surprisingly, she went in the bathroom, next
to the toilet! she's smart! i gave her a tennis ball, which she
loves, and she also likes hanging out on my sundeck (these days, rain
and snow deck) and watching what's going on below. she's a master
manipulator, too; when i'm on the sofa, i don't let her on it, so
she'll sidle up beside the sofa, stand next to it, and rest her head on
my blanket or on the pillow and look...and sometimes heavily sigh.
last night, though, i ignored her and she went and slept on her blanket
(i had the fireplace on and she curled up in front of it - very cute).
i
think she knows what peanut butter is; on sunday, i did some baking.
she was in the kitchen with me, saw me reach up into the cupboard and
get the pb jar, and immediately sat and licked her lips!
i
was at superstore yesterday in the pet aisle, trying to figure out what
'santa' is going to get her for christmas...probably a kong and some
nice doggy treats from 3 dog bakery.
she's a delightful dog."
You can see more photos of Epic via her former foster family's blog: http://rescueanimals.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html. Epic is an ideal companion for anyone looking for a moderately active, best friend. If interested in Epic please fill out an application form.

Update- Blue has found a potential foster home!
Blue's
foster family is selling their house so he is in need of a new foster
home. He is a fantastic dog. Dog-friendly, great in the house, and just
a fun guy to have around. If you may be interested in fostering him we
would love to hear from you! Bully Buddies will cover all food and vet
expenses: the foster home is in charge of the love.
He is a very content boy who just wants to be loved and adored by his people. If you are looking for a dog that loves everyone, thinks the world is fantastic, and is content to follow you to the ends of the earth? If you answered yes to the above questions then please fill out an application form.
Update from his foster family:
So
what can we tell you about Blue. We have had him for about 5 months now
and he has fit in since day one. He is a great dog and offers the best
of both worlds when it comes to his activity level. He loves walks and
will keep up with you for a good 30-40 minutes but is also quite
content exploring in the yard for a little while and doing his business
there too. He isn't a bit fan of rain and will race out and go and then
race back in which works for us. As long as he knows he can come back
in when he is ready he is quite happy to explore. He is great on a
leash and has no pulling issues at all. If he sees something that he is
interested in and tries to go ahead of us, one quick light tug on the
leash snaps him right out of it. He hasn't had any issues with
arthritis or anything like that and he goes for truck rides with Ryan
and jumps right in on his own. Both of us work
k 9-5 Monday to Friday and he is happy sleeping on his bed (and occasionally ours) until we get home.
He
loves treats and will sit, shake a paw, and lay down on command. He
cuddles when ever you are up for it and is content staying there with
you until you want to get up. I was home sick recently with that awful
cold that is going around and he laid in bed with me pretty much all
day. Other than occasional snoring he is great! He does have his weird
little noises that is for sure but he isn't a barker or whiner at all.
Sometimes if you are sitting there and he thinks you have ignored him
for too long he will start this low groan which is hilarious because
that is when a dog would normally whine but not Blue.
He shows a
bit too much interest in neighborhood cats so I don't know how he would
be with a cat living with him. Maybe a dog savy cat. He also is border
line obsessed with birds so I would rule out chickens etc for sure. I
don't know what he would actually do if given the chance but there is a
lot of interest there.
I hope this helps and please email if you have any other questions or would like to meet Blue. We are in Victoria.
